About

Weston Super-Mare's traditional June Airshow brought thousands of visitors to the airshow, kick starting the summer season in spectacular fashion above the Golden Sands of the beach.  The former Weston Air Festival, born from the Weston Heli Days, was funded by the North Somerset Council, but with a series of funding cuts and a change in priorities, Councillors voted to remove funding and the event to fold following a successful event in 2022.

The loss of the event has been sorely felt by the public and businesses within the town and surrounding areas, who enjoyed the entertainment, but also the economic benefits of the airshow and all it had to offer. The airshow was a key feature in the UK airshow events calendar and attracted in excess of 100,000 visitors to Weston Super Mare each year, marvelling at the sights, sounds and the stunning surrounds the town has to offer.
